Scavenger Hunt for Kids:
STEM Edition

Go on a field trip to 12 museums!

Show your students the wonders of America’s science and technology museums as they also learn how to cooperate as a team on these whirlwind virtual STEM activities. Via Zoom or your preferred conferencing platform, players work together on teams to follow clues and answer tricky, fun questions about the museum websites they visit. No previous knowledge is required, but there’s plenty to learn along the way.

The emphasis on this game is on STEM, with questions that feature museums and exhibits involving science, technology, engineering, and math. And for good measure, we’ll throw in a great art museum or two to build up STEAM (so to speak). The game is designed to stimulate curiosity so that students are eager to learn more about what they discovered.

• The Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago

Our Host will meet with your group at the start to get the group going, and then drop in on teams during the game to check on their progress and to spring a fun bonus challenge. A photo scavenger hunt round will prompt participants to think creatively and apply principles of science and math to objects in their home.
